What You’ll Do:
As our Bartender, you’ll be crafting both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, all while keeping the energy up and the vibes just right. You’ll chat with guests, take orders, serve drinks with care, and make sure everyone feels welcome and taken care of. From classic cocktails to creative concoctions, you’ll bring each drink to life with skill and personality.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly as they enter the establishment and interact with them in a friendly and professional manner.
Take and process drink orders from customers, both at the bar and from servers.
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
Check identification to verify that customers are of legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated or underage individuals as necessary.
Upsell additional menu items, promotions, or specials to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.
Engage with customers, provide recommendations, and answer questions about drink options and menu items.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and providing change.
Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible serving practices are followed to promote a safe and enjoyable environment.
Collaborate with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Clean and sanitize bar equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain health and safety standards.
Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to alcohol service and food handling.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred.
Extensive knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage trends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS certification) may be required by some employers or jurisdictions.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in bartending or hospitality is advantageous.
