We are looking for a delivery route driver with the possibility of working into an assistant route manager position. We major in refrigerated products with dairy as the main component. We are an independent distributor for a local dairy company (we are not that company). This type of delivery job is not just dropping off products on a dock. We give a lot of service to our customers and it includes communicating with them, stocking shelves, ordering products, using our custom software and other things.
This type of job is not for a person who likes to stand around all day. Delivery jobs require a lot of activity. You will have to be a person who likes to work hard and fast. If you do well on your job as a driver/delivery person then you will be considered for an assistant manager position which we need to fill.
For the driver job work days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at about 10 hours per day. Start time is about 6 AM and finish time is about 4 PM. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday are off.
Experience in driving, delivery type of work is preferred. You do not need a Class A driver's license but it would be good of you have a Class B. If not, don't worry, we can work with you to obtain that classification if needed. For most of the stuff you do, a Class C will be fine. You have to be able to drive a manual transmission and larger sized box trucks. You need to have a clean driving record and other records. Background checks will be done. We do regular drug and alcohol checks. Benefits are vacation time after one year and after 6 months you will be eligible for a health sharing type of health plan with a $500 deductible.
