Our client, an established and well-respected Trenton based non-profit organization is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$55,000 – $60,000
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Bookkeeper will be the lead and go-to for the day-to-day accounting and finance department. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for full cycle AR, AP, and any duties the Executive Director requests be handled. A passion for the local community and non-profit is a huge plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOOKKEEPER:
Accounts Payable including: purchase orders, and vendor account management
Accounts Receivable: monthly invoices, and handling vendor records
Bank reconciliation for depository accounts
Preparing monthly financial statements and reports
Assist with the annual budget and auditing process
Reconciliations: balance sheets, and journal entries
Set up new vendor accounts
Assisting in Payroll processing
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE BOOKKEEPER:
Hands on experience with accounting software
3 to 5 years minimum of bookkeeper experience
Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups)
Team player with strong analytical skills
Thrives in a collaborative environment
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner independent from supervisors
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree and/or relative experience is required
Bachelor’s degree is a plus
BENEFITS:

The work week is 38-hour work week with a one hour paid lunch (lunch every day is provided-no cost)
First 90 days is fully on site and after that this role has potential to pivot to hybrid (1-2 days remote)
