Kubernetes:

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and deployment best practices
  • Experience managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters with thousands of nodes
  • Expertise in container orchestration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes network and storage plugins and configurations
  • Experience with Kubernetes operators and custom resources for automation and control
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security and compliance standards
AWS:
  • Strong experience with AWS services and architectures, particularly EC2, S3, and VPC
  • Experience designing and implementing highly available and fault-tolerant AWS infrastructures
  • Expertise in AWS security and compliance frameworks, including IAM, Security Groups, and CloudTrail
  • Knowledge of AWS networking, including VPC design, routing, and peering
  • Experience with AWS deployment automation tools, such as CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Familiarity with AWS serverless architectures, including Lambda and API Gateway
Kafka:
  • Advanced knowledge of Kafka architecture, including brokers, partitions, and producers/consumers
  • Experience designing and implementing high-throughput and low-latency Kafka infrastructures
  • Expertise in Kafka cluster management and monitoring, including performance optimization and capacity planning
  • Knowledge of Kafka security and compliance standards, including SSL/TLS and ACLs
  • Experience with Kafka connectors and streams for data integration and processing
  • Familiarity with Kafka ecosystem tools, including Confluent Platform and Kafka Connect
REST API:
  • Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs with clear and consistent specifications
  • Expertise in API security and authentication mechanisms, including OAuth2 and JWT
  • Experience with API documentation tools, such as Swagger or OpenAPI
  • Knowledge of API management and monitoring tools, including API Gateway and Prometheus
  • Experience with API versioning and deprecation strategies
  • Familiarity with API testing and automation frameworks, including Postman and Newman
SpringBoot Microservices:
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture patterns, including service discovery, API gateways, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices-based applications in production environments using SpringBoot
  • Expertise in microservices deployment and management, including containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of microservices testing and monitoring best practices, including service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
  • Experience with microservices security and compliance standards, including mutual TLS and RBAC
  • Familiarity with modern microservices frameworks and languages, such as Spring Cloud, Micronaut or Quarkus
In addition, the Vice President should have strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and mentor a team of engineers, as well as collaborate with other stakeholders such as product managers and business analysts. They should also be familiar with Agile methodologies and have experience leading Agile teams in fast-paced environments. Finally, they should have a solid understanding of JPMChase's business and technical requirements and be able to align technical decisions with strategic goals.
