Job description
We are seeking an organized, skilled and personable Administrative Assistant to support to our church office. This role requires experience in office management and an understanding of church culture. The successful candidate will have effective skills and be proficient in using Google Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Constant Contact, Square Space, and SignUp Genius. This individual will be the point of first contact with vendors, contractors, and community members, maintaining a welcoming and gracious environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to our pastor and staff, preparing and distributing documents, emails, and presentations (Power Point or Google Slides)
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
- Utilize Google Suite to manage schedules, track expenses, and prepare reports
- Greet visitors and contractors, directing them to the appropriate staff.
- Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant or in a related role
- Experience in office management and administrative support
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot office machines (copier, printer, computers) and basic software.
- Ability to solve problems positively and graciously.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule: 4 hour shift
Experience:
Microsoft Excel: 2 year (Preferred)
Microsoft Powerpoint: 2 year (Preferred)
Google Suite: 2 year s(Preferred)
