Job Description:
The .Net Developer designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications and components related to the business needs. Supports and/or installs software applications and components. Works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintains documentation of process flow.
  • 7+ years of experience with development using Microsoft .Net technologies including C#, ASP.Net and MVC 5
  • 7+ years of experience with development using web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML and web controls like JQWidgets
  • 7+ years of experience with database design and SQL programming using Microsoft SQL Server
  • 7+ years of overall experience with an emphasis on information technology
  • Hands on knowledge with Rest API and Web Services based development
  • Experience with BI Tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos) a big plus
  • Experience with a variety of data feed types, including JSON, XML, Excel and SOAP
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving data, system and performance issues
  • Knowledge of the Agile software development process
  • Superb communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Financial Services experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mutual funds business a plus


Daily Tasks:
  • The .Net Developer will Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET.
  • Create and deliver data-driven reports. Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications.
  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
  • Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.
  • Create technical specifications and test plans.
  • Create new and extend existing operational documentation.
  • Consult closely with management and occasionally agency staff related to projects and tasks. Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems.
  • Implement new software.
