Overview Assists in managing the Retirement Assets of the Consolidated Edison Company including Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution and VEBA plans. The investment team shares responsibility for investing and managing global assets across public equity, fixed income, and private market strategies. Performs investment manager searches, due diligence, monitoring, quarterly reporting, portfolio construction, strategic asset allocation and asset rebalancing. Requires excellent communication skills to interact with finance, accounting, HR and tax professionals internal to the Company as well as investment professionals outside of the Company. The investment team shares responsibility for investing and managing global assets across public equity, fixed income, and private market strategies. Performs investment manager searches, due diligence, monitoring, quarterly reporting, portfolio construction, strategic asset allocation and asset rebalancing. Performs various analytical, operational, and administrative tasks that have a significant impact on the success of the Retirement Plans. Requires excellent communication skills to interact with finance, accounting, tax and investment professionals inside and outside of the Company. Responsible for major projects with moderate day-to-day supervision. Serves as an integral member of the investment team by evaluating both prospective and existing investments/managers across a range of asset classes, including public equities, fixed income, private equity, real estate, and hedge funds. Provides analytical support across plans in the areas of monitoring investments, performance attribution, and risk management. Participates in new manager searches by attending meetings, researching the opportunity set, analyzing performance, preparing a competitive analysis, performance attribution, as well as risk and liquidity analysis. Assists in preparing strategic analyses of asset classes. Assists in calculating funded status and participates in periodic asset-liability studies Partners with team to prepare for investment committee meetings using PowerPoint presentations, excel and memorandums. Presents to senior management committees. Works with investment managers, trustee/custodial banks, and other third parties to provide efficient and effective services for the Retirement plans. Reviews performance of such vendors and reports on this performance to management. Assists with the development and updates of Treasury procedures and policy documents. Manages Pension Sox requirements and fulfills Sox and audit requests. Prepares or assists in the preparation of financial analysis of proposed new investments, strategies, risk metrics, and reporting tools. Makes recommendations to Pension Director for performance and operational improvements that are supported by data.Qualifications Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management or related Business field and minimum of 3 years work experience in General Finance or Investment Management or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management or related Business field and/or CFA certification preferred and minimum of 2 years work experience in General Finance or Investment ManagementPreferred Education/Experience Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management or related Business field and/or CFA certification preferred and minimum of 2 years work experience in General Finance or Investment ManagementRelevant Work Experience Minimum of 3 years of Analytical experience and demonstration of critical thinking skills and/or investment strategies and products Required Experience in verbal and written communication with various stakeholders Required Must be self-motivated with the ability to multitask and effectively balance multiple priorities and deadlines Required Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to analyze complex data, perform statistical analysis, and apply mathematical principles Required Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Required Experience with financial and investment data tools (i.e Bloomberg, eVestments, Morningstar Direct, BNY Mellons systems, Aladdin, or other proprietary risk and reporting tools.)
