Bar manager wanted for busy East Village bar. 3 years min. experience. 4-5 days a week, must be available to work weekends
This role reports directly to the owner, holds duties related to day to day operations of the bar, oversees staff and effectively manages issues. Main priorities of this role include (but are not limited to) to increase sales through strategic planning while ensuring staff hospitality is top notch; further building patron base by having a great personality; taking initiative to resolve issues; and, maintaining an orderly bar by implementing policies and procedures. Craft beer knowledge, keg changing abilities & must have DOH food handlers license
Responsibilities:
The position entails a need for extremely strong team leadership and strategy planning skills; excellent communication; ability to multi-task; ensures superior beverage & food quality and strong customer service skills
Conducts HR functions including hiring, progressive counseling, terminations
Oversees scheduling and staff hospitality training
Maintains excellent relationships with customers, guests and third party vendors
Works with the Chef and management team in creating top quality beverage and food menus (seasonal & special event menus)
Must have knowledge of Canva (to create posters), Social Media (to advertise our brand) and Microsoft Excel (to support back office functions)
Respond to inbound requests for parties in an extremely timely manner to facilitate parties with flawless execution
