ResponsibilitiesThe Pediatric Transport Team Assistant Nurse Manager is an experienced critical care nurse and a nursing leader at Golisano Children's Hospital. The ANM is primarily responsible for day-to-day transport operations; this includes but is not limited to, the development and maintenance of a competency-based education program, documentation, provision of educational opportunities for staff, managing the equipment needs of the program, daily accountability for scheduling and staffing issues, evaluation and provision of feedback for direct reports, recruitment and hiring activities, evidence-based review of policies and procedures, and other roles as necessary for the success of the Pediatric Transport Program. Additional responsibilities when in the transport RN role: The Pediatric Transport Program transports critically ill children from outlying hospitals in the Upstate NY region to Golisano Children’s Hospital at URMC via ambulance, rotary, and fixed-wing aircraft. In addition, the transport nurse is an expert resource for the entire pediatric service and is essential in the following: Rapid Response Team, Pediatric Code Team, procedural sedation, advanced IV access, intra-facility transport of critically ill patients, and pediatric trauma response.Qualifications Requires a BSN or matriculation in a BSN program from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 5 years or RN experience. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.Location: Pediatric Nursing

Schedule: FT positions available (40 hours) D/E/N, weekend, holidays, on-call as needed
