This includes protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe, and helping find cures for cancer.How will you make an impact?The Sr Procurement Manager – Product Services , drives the execution of complex global category strategies vital to continuously improve the Product Services category spend. This individual will be responsible for Laboratory/ Environmental Testing, Equipment Maintenance and Calibration, Engineering Services, Manufacturing Support Services, Site Regulation and Material Treatment Services. The total category spend is approximately $300M and procurement is tasked with the business to drive value yoy of a minimum 3-5% savings. Collaborates and leads a cross-functional team of sourcing, operations, technical, finance and other colleagues to prioritize sourcing initiatives, develops sourcing strategies, negotiates contracts, supports spend migration from incumbent to preferred suppliers, and handles selected supplier relationships.What will you do?Scale of Responsibilities

Responsible for strategy input and implementation for complex and strategic categories

Delivers key category performance indicators, including: savings, supplier rationalization, low-cost region sourcing, risk management, spend under agreement, joint innovation, supplier performance, etc

Develops multi year global sourcing strategies

Technical Responsibilities

Applies structured Category Management process to provide input into category strategies

Analyzes market intelligence to identify key trends, assesses impact and refines category plans to support business requirements.

Engages and supports division/site procurement teams to qualify key suppliers & migrate spend from incumbent, poor performance suppliers

Analyzes category supplier performance data to find opportunities for supplier performance improvement

Leads supplier based business reviews with selected suppliers

Represents and drives key initiatives with suppliers including Diversity, Sustainability and Risk Assessment

Leadership Responsibilities

Influences cross-functional colleagues(quality, technical, operations, finance, etc.) to ensure category strategies and activities are aligned to a common set of goals and priorities. Influence without authority

Ensures category strategies and priorities are aligned with divisional business priorities

Collaborates with Procurement Enablement team to develop predictive analytics

Responsible for one sourcing manager and ability to coach, develop and empower colleague

How to get there:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical field or combination of experience and education. Master’s Degree is preferred

Minimum of 10 years procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies, with strong category/business engagement experience

Minimum 2 years in a people leadership role [IF APPLICABLE]

Knows how to assess market/business requirements dynamics and negotiate agreements that yield meaningful business value

Experience working in highly regulated industries

Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year results

Shown consultative/collaborative style in performing sourcing activities

Influences without authority to motivate and lead a cross-functional team in multiple geographies.

CPSM or equivalent is preferred

Acts as the primary point of contact within the GS team for transactional assistance related to invoicing for US government prime and subcontracts. Acts as the primary owner of any third-party payment systems such Syncada/US Bank and COUPA for government prime and subcontract invoice submission. Works with customers to ensure invoices are paid timely, and works to prevent aging and write-off invoices. Conducts audits and ensures compliance to policies and regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies/requirements. Reviews invoices for errors that branches submit for repayment on US government prime or subcontracts. Resolves errors with the branches and submits accurate invoices for payment into required portals. Monitors and ensures compliance to policies and regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies/requirements Interprets contract requirements and defines the obligations for the Company.   Monitor accounts payable reports and ensures offices are paid timely.  Communicates and supports the resolution of open disputes between the billable parties and Expeditors offices. Ensure all new US government business has proper billing/invoicing procedures in place to ensure accuracy and avoid risk. Capable of training Expeditors offices in proper US government invoicing procedures. Generates weekly reports. Including invoice audit results, disputed invoices, accounts receivable/aging reports for customers. Works with payees to ensure invoices are paid timely. Communicates status updates with internal stakeholders. This includes publishing weekly accounting reports in SharePoint, as well as leading meetings to communicate to specific offices/departments. Works to improve the freight payment cycle time for all branches with US government related business. Must be a United States Citizen and be able to work at a US Expeditors branch. Experience with accounts payable/receivable. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrates proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. US Military service and/or US Government employment experience preferred. Fluent in English.
