Appointment Scheduling Specialist – Infectious Care Clinic – Full-Time, Days Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Appointment Scheduling Specialist Work location: 8230 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 308, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm Infectious Care Clinic Highlights:

Here’s What You Need
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
2 years related experience in healthcare environment (preferred)
Medical Insurance Knowledge (strongly preferred)
Bilingual in English / Spanish (preferred)
Requires strong customer skills and positive personality.
Good communication skills with excellent telephone etiquette.
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Problem solving and willingness to learn new tasks a must
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process
Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies by the physician.
Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
Communicates with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests and may collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient personal data.
Demonstrates positive professional customer service to all patients, staff, and visitor contacts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
