Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant in the construction industry at our Dallas, Texas location. This role involves a variety of accounting responsibilities and requires proficiency in various accounting software and skills. Responsibilities: Manage the general ledger and ensure its accuracy Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the company's records match the bank's records Record revenue accurately and in a timely manner Review and analyze financial data for accuracy and trends Participate in the month-end close process and ensure all financial data is recorded properly Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness Maintain records of the company's fixed assets Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Carry out duties related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger. Requirements Possess thorough knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations Experience in managing the General Ledger Capable of making accurate Journal Entries Familiar with Month End Close processes Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks Experience with Oracle for financial management Knowledgeable in QuickBooks for business accounting Familiarity with SAP for business operations and customer relations Prior experience in the construction or contractor industry is preferable Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong organizational and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions High degree of integrity and confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
