Staff Accountant

Description We are on the search for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Investment Management industry, based in Dallas, Texas. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Working closely with our accounting team, the Staff Accountant will ensure our financial operations run smoothly and accurately. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed. Conducting regular bank reconciliations to monitor financial transactions. Responsible for journal entries, ensuring they are accurate and completed in a timely manner. Handling general ledger functions, making sure they align with financial policies and regulations. Assisting in month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met. Utilizing financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline and automate financial processes. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards. Requirements Possess a thorough understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations. Have the ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently. Demonstrate a strong grasp of maintaining and managing the General Ledger. Capable of preparing Journal Entries and ensuring their accuracy. Experience in performing Month End Close activities in a timely and accurate manner. Proficient in NetSuite and Oracle software for accounting tasks. Have a working knowledge of QuickBooks and SAP for financial management. Relevant experience in Investment Management or related industries would be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Professional certification in accounting or related field would be a plus. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of accounting.
