RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a high-tech firm in search for a Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) located in Fort Worth, TX. The potential candidate must have industry experience (for example, automotive, HVAC, Plumbing, Manufacturing, Electrical, Construction, Aerospace, engineering (not IT) etc.). We are not looking for traditional IT PMO or IT project managers.

Responsibilities:
Own NPD stage gate process (stage and gate deliverables, hand-offs, signoffs, etc.) including inter-department alignment on process and deliverables
Develop and implement project management metrics and dashboard to ensure organizational alignment on active projects, budget, schedule, resource allocation, etc.
Develop and maintain project key performance indicators (KPIs) for schedules, budget and resource allocation
Provide periodic updates to all stakeholders for NPD project portfolio to ensure alignment
Implement and improve PMO processes, procedures and tools based on the firm's Stage-Gate and PMBOK methodologies
Develop resource management capability to support Marketing, Engineering, and Operations organizations in balancing project priority and workload constraints
Secure buy-in and change at all levels with an ability to influence without direct authority with the appropriate level of assertiveness
Communicate with management, effectively and proactively, ideas and recommendations for optimizing business operations and utilization of resources
Facilitate creation of project plan with required scope, budget, resources, detailed project schedule, defining critical milestones, aligned with Stage Gate deliverables and all stakeholders
Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks/issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate impact on schedule or scope throughout project lifecycle
Lead all required project gate review meetings with gatekeepers (HHWS leadership team)
Direct supervision of Project Managers: 2 or 3

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business with 7+ years of experience and at least 5 years of progressive Program/Project Management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience - Electrical, Mechanical and Software engineering preferred
PMP certificate a plus
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills; ability to effectively discuss and present both commercial and technical aspects of a project to all stakeholders, including executive level communication
Excellent facilitation, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
Strong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and document new or improved portfolio and program management processes, templates and tools, and create a wide variety of reporting mechanisms and metrics for leadership, stakeholders, and team members
Excellent planning, organization, time management, and structured thinking skills
Experience managing/leading people; remote employee management a plus
Ability to perform on a strategic and tactical level
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of product development, project management and ability to lead teams in execution of these methodologies
Broad professional experience in product development, operations, sales, engineering and marketing areas are a plus
Ability to inspire, mentor/coach and build a high-performance cross-functional team in a matrix organization
