Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & DeliveryFull-timeMaternal Level IV designated Labor & Delivery/OBED department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?· Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104· The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET , and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and Maternal Level IV designated facility· Work hours: Full Time Days (6:30AM-7PM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements plus some call-requirementsLabor & Delivery Department highlights:· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team· 18-bed LDR's, 5-bay OB/ED, 5 triage rooms, 3 OR suites· Average 300 + deliveries per month· Wide range of patients and plan of care – water births, nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients.Here’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required· BSN is preferred· CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required· One (1) year experience as a registered nurse or completion of RN residency program required.· One year or more of Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required· ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is requiredNRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days requiredWhat You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse· Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan repayment program, nursing career ladder as well as several other benefits.· Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.· Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).· A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.· Explore our Texas Health careers site (https://jobs.texashealth.org/) for info like Benefits (https://jobs.texashealth.org/benefits) , Job Listings by Category (https://jobs.texashealth.org/professions) , recent Awards (https://jobs.texashealth.org/awards) we’ve won and more.Do you still have questions or concerns?
