Description Our client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Processor to join their team in Downtown Houston. This position is 100% onsite and requires stringent attention to detail, excellent data entry skills, advanced knowledge of invoicing, and detailed follow-up procedures. Our ideal candidate is an accounting professional who can maintain accuracy in high-volume and fast-paced environments while consistently meeting deadlines. The pay is up to $30/hourly.Job Responsibilities:
Process high volume accounts payable transactions, ensuring all invoices are entered accurately and timely.
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Set invoices up for payment and ensure payments are up to date.
Review and verify invoices, checking requests, and prepare and perform check runs.
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries and produce monthly reports.
Collaborate with the team in completing daily tasks and actively participate in achieving the team's goals.
Ensure company policies and procedures are followed in your role.
Provide supporting documentation for audits.
Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries.
Other ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Proven experience as an AP Processor with tenure.
Proficiency in data entry and management.
Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of MS Office, particularly Excel and AP software. Microsoft Dynamics AX is highly preferred.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred.
