Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for our esteemed client. This long-term contract position offers the unique opportunity to further your career in accounting while enjoying the flexibility of remote work for two to three days weekly. Your contribution will be essential in handling a high volume of invoices, processing expense reimbursements, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting in monthly closing procedures, among others. Come and join a respected company where your role as an Accounts Payable Specialist will be both rewarding and impactful.Primary Responsibilities: Processing 3-way P.O. matching invoices with 100 plus line items. Handling large volumes of invoices and utility bills. Collaborating with purchasing/logistics and OPS teams for invoice approval, correction, PO adjustments. Processing employee expense reimbursement through Concur and miscellaneous check requests. Prioritizing utility invoices, cash discount potential and payment terms. Maintaining files and documentation accurately and thoroughly, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Reconciling vendor statements, researching, and correct discrepancies. Responding to all vendor inquiries. Preparing and processing regular AP check runs and ACHs. Assisting in monthly closing and annual audit requests. Completing other tasks and projects as needed.Requirements Successful candidates will have the following qualifications: High School Diploma or a General Education Degree (GED) - Required. At least one year of experience in Accounts Payable or similar role. Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and other relevant accounting software. Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage high volume of tasks under pressure. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
