Description Our client, located in Downtown Houston is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist on a long-term contract basis. The role involves handling financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and processing invoices. This position is within the finance industry and will be based in a professional office setting.Responsibilities: Administration of accounts payable using various accounting software Maintain relationships with both new and existing vendors Analyze workflow processes to optimize efficiency Process due invoices in a timely manner adhering to departmental procedures Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges for accuracy Establish and maintain accurate customer credit records Collect and process expense reports and purchase orders from different departments Execute account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts Conduct other duties as assigned by management.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes Experience with 3 Way Matching is essential Demonstrated skills in Invoice Processing Proficiency in using SAP software is required Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel High attention to detail and accuracy in work Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and trustworthiness Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
