Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, Texas. Our team is seeking a specialist who can efficiently manage accounting functions, particularly in high-volume environments. The role primarily revolves around full-cycle AP processing using Oracle and Microsoft Excel, with a strong emphasis on detail-orientation and organizational skills.Responsibilities include: Accurately processing a high volume of invoices on a monthly basis Efficiently handling full-cycle AP processing tasks Reconciling vendor statements to ensure accuracy Utilizing Oracle Cloud for various accounting functions Troubleshooting issues related to 3-way match discrepancies Using advanced Excel skills for tasks such as pivot tables and v-look ups Processing checks and managing accounts payable Ensuring accurate and efficient data entry Monitoring and managing customer credit applications and records Resolving customer inquiries and maintaining customer satisfaction. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary for managing and organizing financial data efficiently. Competency in Microsoft Excel is required for data analysis and report generation. Understanding of basic Accounting Functions is essential to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with financial regulations. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes, such as invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor communication is key in this role. Familiarity with Check Processing procedures is beneficial for ensuring timely and accurate payments. Data Entry skills are crucial for maintaining accurate records and efficient workflow. Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in financial records and documents is a necessary skill. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud is a plus as it may be used for various accounting and financial management tasks.
