The Senior Clinical IT Project Manager (Sr IT PM) manages two or more large Information Services (IS) projects. Acting as the agent for the project sponsor, the Sr IT PM manages cross-functional project teams and is responsible for projects that are highly complex, risky, or strategic in nature. He/she is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing the projects following MD Anderson methodology standards. These projects address the operational needs of multiple departments in order to deliver specified requirements, meet customer satisfaction, on time, within budget, and with quality results. The position ensures appropriate management, customer, and supplier involvement throughout the life cycle of the project. The role provides oversight and mentorship to project team members, project managers, etc The Sr IT PM also provides input into and assist with the development of the project management methodology.
