This role serves as the global process owner for Caterpillar's corporate insurance functions, including managing corporate insurance policies, leadership of the annual insurance program renewals, managing insurance claim processes, serving as the enterprise subject matter expert on corporate property and casualty insurance items and coaching/developing global finance team members. The Director of Corporate Insurance position is a unique opportunity to be an integral member of a global corporate finance organization a leader of a high performing, medium-sized team of finance professionals and process owner for several third-party relationships.What You Will Do:Primary Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Provide leadership and vision to diverse and high performing corporate insurance team

Establish and maintain appropriate corporate insurance policies

Lead strategy for insurance operations and drive process optimization

Complete annual insurance program renewals for property, casualty, cyber, directors & officers, and other required insurance categories

Maintain strong relationships with internal & external business partners, including key brokers and insurance companies

Participate on Caterpillar’s Finance Leadership Development Program committee

Typical internal customers include the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President – Global Finance, Senior Vice President – Financial Products Division, Vice President & Corporate Treasurer, Assistant Treasurers, Regional Treasurers, Caterpillar Insurance, and global business unit leaders

What You Will Bring (Skills & Experience):

Expert knowledge in Insurance products, services and operations, including property & casualty insurance

Extensive experience in risk management

Extensive experience in communicating complex concepts

Extensive experience in decision making and critical thinking

Extensive customer and market focus

Expert knowledge in organizational leadership and leading diverse teams

Additional Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, insurance or business administration

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners

Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a strong compliance culture (organization, policies and procedures) highly desired

Proven track record of demonstrating courage and emotional intelligence, including a high level of responsibility, initiative and stress tolerance

The ability to prioritize workflow and accomplish tasks across the organization through collaboration and delegation

Additional Details:

This position can be located at our offices in Peoria, IL; Irving, TX; or Nashville, TN

Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

This role requires up to 40% travel depending on leader & team locations
