South end established public works construction company needs an experienced Controller. This role includes hands-on bookkeeping in a busy environment and requires a talented team player with proven skills and an exceptional work ethic.
This position requires a dedicated full-charge bookkeeper with a track record as an accounting leader with a positive attitude and high energy. Mentor and train several accounting clerks as you supervise the busy accounting department. We perform projects in Washington and California, which will involve licensing, payroll, tax returns, and all other related duties in both states. You will also maintain the books for several smaller, related companies with inter-company transactions.

This role involves full-charge accounting through monthly financials including a Work-In-Process Contracts Schedule. Responsibilities include AR, AP, GL, Payroll, and HR, as well as all other related accounting duties as required to maintain complete and accurate books. Assist CPA with year-end closings and prepare for and comply with any audits that occur. You must be well organized and able to multi-task and shift gears amid changing priorities with frequent interruptions.
