Are you passionate about advancing equity in higher education and supporting students' success? Pierce College is seeking a dynamic Entry Services Specialist to play a key role in empowering prospective and newly admitted students—particularly African American/Black male-identified students—to navigate their educational journey, close access gaps, and achieve their goals.
What You’ll Do:
Provide welcoming, student-centered support to guide applicants through the admissions process.
Partner with the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion – College Access, Retention, and Engagement Services (EDI CARES) team to foster belonging and equity for all students.
Collaborate with Student Success Coaches to ensure students stay on track in their career pathways.
Deliver front-line customer service at welcome desks, assist with testing and placement processes, and maintain student records.
Actively engage in outreach and retention efforts to help students succeed.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience providing culturally responsive services and effective referrals for students or clients.
Knowledge of educational environments and systems like academic advising, financial aid, or student support services.
Adaptability, critical thinking, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn complex operating systems.
Special Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED with some college coursework.
Consent to and pass a criminal background check after a conditional offer.
