Sushi Kappo Tamura is currently seeking a strong, reliable and experienced Line Cook to join our team.
This position is for a FULL TIME position.
We offer staff meals, employee discounts for dining, paid weekly, medical/dental plan for full time employees after a 6 month working period, and eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
Qualification:
- Applicants for the this position should have at least 2 years of experience working in the kitchen (Saute, Grill, Fry, Pantry) in a high volume restaurant. Applicants who are skilled in nigiri/sashimi/sushi roll and any additional kitchen experience will be given extra consideration.
- Flexible schedule and available to work evenings and on Saturdays. Availability in the morning is a plus. We prefer to cross train on all stations so there will be opportunities to learn Sushi/Sashimi/Rolls in the future if that is something that interests you.
- Active WA State Food handler’s permit
- Demonstrates dependable and timely attendance.
- Be motivated and have a positive team centered attitude
- Demonstrates teamwork and willingness to assist coworkers.
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Keep clean and orderly station.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Looking to work for a company with huge growth potential.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Wage: $22 - $25 / Hour (depending on experience) + Tips
- Eligible for medical/dental insurance
- Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
