We are hiring a full time, experienced line cook to work in our fast paced kitchen environment. Ideally you would have experience cooking all types of proteins.
Typical shifts are 12pm to 10pm. Our full time employees work 4-10 hour shifts. We are looking for staff who are flexible and open to picking up extra shifts on occasion. Cleanliness, organization and dependability are key.
The customers of our neighborhood restaurant are laid back, but have come to expect excellent dishes. A variety of high quality steaks dominate our menu, but we also serve amazing sandwiches and feature other items such a pork, seafood and vegetarian. The Shambles has a small kitchen staff who are fun loving, yet hard working. There is opportunity for creativity as we continue to expand our menu offerings. Line cooks will not only be responsible for the line, but also prep, cleaning, dishes and maintaining a safe and organized environment.
-Must have current food handler permit
-At least 2 years experience in a busy kitchen
-Excellent communication skills
-Knowledge of proteins and sauté
-Value organization and cleanliness
-Understand our customer and ensure every dish that goes out meets our high quality of standards.
Base pay is $25 an hour plus an additional tip pool share that averages $4-5 an hour to total $29 to $30 per hour.
