The Community Manager/Compliance Coordinator is a mid-level position in the field of Community Association Management. This position is responsible for assisting with the management and leadership of Community Associations for Issaquah Highlands Community Association and will take ownership of the homeowner compliance program entailing uniform enforcement of Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA) rules and community wide standards of maintenance.
Duties:
Liaison to Homeowners and Community Association Members: Provide and manage homeowner information, address and solve homeowner concerns, assist with enforce CC&R’s /Rules & Regulations, facilitate and manage conflict resolution.
Liaison to Association and Neighborhood Committees: Schedule and facilitate governance and committee meetings, prepare meeting agendas and packets. Create, complete and maintain action item lists and receive and respond to correspondence as needed in a timely manner.
Prepare and provide various reports to Executive Director, Director of Community Operations and IHCA governance committees on an ongoing basis. Carry out any and all Association directives such as CC&R enforcement, and uphold community standards. Report all issues of importance to the management in a timely manner.
Assist in managing community appearance to ensure quality and continuity by contracting for cleaning and/or maintenance and supervision of common area facilities maintenance through staff or subcontracting with direction of Executive Director.
Perform systematic review of neighborhoods for inspection of exterior maintenance of homes, lighting, potential safety and liability maintenance, prioritize, report and resolution.
Assist with managing and coordinate the homeowner committees and processes, as appointed by the Board of Directors.
Assist with Project Management as assigned by the Director of Community Operations for IHCA infrastructure management (i.e., drain line cleaning, park remediation, reserve projects)
Neighborhood Project Management including RFP development, contract processing and oversight for all maintenance and reserve projects. Responsible for streamlining similar projects to achieve economies of scale across neighborhoods.
Assist in preparing and oversight of annual Neighborhood Association (NA) budgets. Oversee NA related expenses and ensure NA is managed within established approved budget parameters. Oversee tracking of various accounts receivable of Association assessments and management of collection of delinquent accounts. Provide monthly manager’s narrative with financial statement.
Perform Compliance Inspections by driving the community on a weekly basis to ensure uniform enforcement of Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA) rules and community wide standards of maintenance.
Job Qualifications & Experience
Preferred Experience in one or more of the following fields: community management, property management, office administration, or non-profit management.
Business/Personal skills: Articulate, observant and organized, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects; detail oriented with excellent written communication skills. The capacity to be flexible with a keen orientation to quality work. Strong interpersonal and speaking skills are required. Must maintain a professional demeanor and level of confidentiality and may deal with issues of a sensitive nature. Conflict management skills required.
Technical skills: Word-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, contact management and other specialized software applications are utilized daily. Yardi knowledge a plus.
Certifications: Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA) must be achieved within 1 year of start date. Strong knowledge of compliance processes, governance, and community building.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
