Body and Thermal Controls Engineer (Salary Range: $140,000/yr - $172,700/yr): Develop control algorithms for body and thermal controls including door latches, rain light sensor, wiper control, powertrain and battery cooling system, Cabin HVAC. Design plant models required for controls development and verification in Matlab and Simulink environment. Write and review System and Software level requirements for Body and thermal features in Polarion. Generate Model in Loop (MIL) test cases to achieve targeted code coverage. Debug the software and controls issues, review vehicle CAN logs and provide software support during vehicle software testing. Author ARXML (AUTOSAR XML) files to update the signal routing architecture for inter and intra ECU signals. Monitor software validation and testing.
Travel 10% (domestic).
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.
SKILLS: Must have:
1. Experience with electric vehicle architecture, automotive system design, and writing vehicle system requirements for body components.
2. Experience with Controls Systems Design and signal filtering and processing.
3. Experience testing control algorithms for vehicle, electronic control unit boards, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), and MIL (Model-in-Loop) systems.
4. Experience with MATLAB, SIMULINK, and Stateflow.
5. Experience with CATIA (v5 or v6).
6. Experience working with Vector Software Tools (CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe) and ETAS INCA tool for vehicle software testing and calibration.
7. Experience in vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and creating associated communication database files (DBC or LDF).
