Description We are seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, conducting daily operations such as processing invoices, recording payments, and tracking expenses, and assisting the accounting department as needed.Responsibilities:
Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.
Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct bank reconciliations regularly.
Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.
Prepare, send and store invoices.
Monitor, track and report accounts payable and receivable.
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
Requirements
Associates Degree in Accounting or related field.
Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk.
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. QuickBooks).
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills, with strong data entry skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
