Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join a team of highly skilled professionals in a stimulating work environment. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the San Diego, California area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.What you get to do every day
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Provide support during internal and external audits
Execute full-cycle A/P
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Execute additional tasks as needed Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Practical knowledge of Enter Vendor Invoices
General familiarity with Approved Invoices
Experience with High-Volume Invoicing
Comprehensive knowledge of NetSuite
Foundational knowledge in Oracle
Well-founded grasp of Code Invoices
Proven knowledge of Coding Invoices
Microsoft Excel experience
Wide ranging experience with Form 1099
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Quality experience with Process Vendor Invoices
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
