Description We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a Law Firm in San Diego, CA. This is a contract position that starts immediately and requires expertise in billing, A/R, collections, strong customer service, and great follow-up skills. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Generate and send invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
Follow up on outstanding receivables and collections.
Communicate with clients regarding payment inquiries and disputes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records.
Resolve any billing discrepancies with clients.
Assist with month-end closing procedures.
Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding billing questions and concerns.
Analyze and review accounts receivable aging reports.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient billing operations.a
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
Experience with legal billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant, etc.) is a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
