This Position is Contingent on Contract Award. This position is in support of a proposed repatriation initiative.  The purpose of the facilities is to provide comprehensive care for migrant individuals who are awaiting reunification or repatriation.  This care will begin as soon as each occupant arrives at the facility and will last until their arranged departure. The comprehensive care includes but is not limited to initial screening and exams, identifications of prior conditions and allergies, day to day care of routine, urgent and emergency medical conditions.     The Infection Control Registered Nurse is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control programs within a healthcare setting. This role involves educating staff, assessing infection risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to enhance patient safety and improve overall healthcare outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with national and local guidelines. Conduct regular infection surveillance and data collection to identify infection trends and outbreak investigations. Educate and train healthcare staff on infection control practices, protocols, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure effective implementation of infection control measures and reduce healthcare-associated infections. Perform risk assessments to identify infection control needs and recommend appropriate interventions. Maintain accurate documentation of infection control activities, investigations, and outcomes. Act as a resource for staff and patients regarding infection prevention practices and provide guidance on best practices. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and quality improvement initiatives related to infection control. Review and analyze infection control data to develop reports and communicate findings to management and relevant stakeholders. Stay updated on current trends and research in infection control to continuously improve practices within the organization.  This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.

What You Need to Know Clinical Leadership and Compliance: Supervises day-to-day clinical and office operations. Is available to staff and patients during hours of operation. Accreditation/Survey Readiness, QA audits/detailed corrective action plan audits. Manages HHCAHPS distribution in SHP. Emergency Preparedness Planning- Activation of EPP, Post Activation Reporting & Ongoing Event Monitoring and Reporting. Qualifications Registered nurse with current licensure to practice nursing in the practicing state Possess and maintain CPR certification Previous experience in home care setting with two years management or supervisory experience, preferred Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order Prior use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
