Job Title: Full-Time Psilocybin Mushroom Cultivator
Location: Berkeley, CA
Our church (a registered religious organization with the state of CA) serves a spiritual community dedicated to the healing and transformative power of naturally occurring entheogens, with a special focus on psilocybin mushrooms. Our mission is to provide safe, education-forward access to sacraments and spiritual resources, enabling personal and community growth.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psilocybin Mushroom Cultivator to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in mushroom cultivation, including maintaining sterile environments, managing growth cycles, and ensuring optimal conditions for cultivation. As an established (est 2019) yet ever evolving organization, we value team members who are flexible, adaptable, and eager to contribute to various aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of psilocybin mushroom cultivation, including spore inoculation, substrate preparation, and harvesting.
- Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions, including temperature, humidity, and cleanliness.
- Implement and oversee cultivation schedules to ensure consistent and quality production.
- Maintain a sterile and safe working environment to prevent contamination.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and assist in various tasks as needed, including covering shifts and participating in community events.
- Contribute to the development of cultivation best practices and standard operating procedures with an emphasis on streamlining for maximum productivity.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mushroom cultivation, preferably with psilocybin or other entheogenic fungi.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and contamination prevention.
- Ability to manage and optimize environmental conditions for cultivation.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and record keeping
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Passion for entheogenic plants and fungi and their spiritual, healing potential.
- Willingness to uphold and embody the church's values and mission.
