Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Landscape Maintenance to lead and inspire our maintenance teams in beautiful Marin County. This managerial position is ideal for a landscape professional with strong organizational, leadership, and horticultural expertise who can oversee high-quality maintenance services for a range of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Supervise and support multiple landscape maintenance teams, ensuring all operations are efficient and high-quality.
Client Relations: Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and proactively addressing client needs and requests.
Operations Oversight: Oversee scheduling, budgets, quality control, and resource allocation to optimize service delivery.
Employee Development: Train and mentor staff members to build a skilled and motivated maintenance team.
Safety and Compliance: Implement safety protocols, monitor compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain a safe work environment.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot any issues that arise, from irrigation to client concerns, to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in landscape maintenance, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance techniques, irrigation systems.
Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and management.
Ability to effectively manage budgets and schedules.
Bi-lingual in Spanish-English.
Bachelor's degree in the Agricultural Sciences or equivalent and two years of technical field experience.
Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various outdoor environments and weather.
Exposure to dust, pollen, noise and pollutants related to the landscape industry (fertilizer, pesticide, etc).
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Possess a valid California drivers' license with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
