This group looks specifically at (software) systems and processes to do that.Introduction to the role: The Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst is responsible to analyze and support manufacturing systems. This requires broad end-to-end knowledge of the manufacturing processes from different perspectives: operator, quality engineering, quality assurance, logistics, etc. The Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst is part of a larger team, which is spread out over the different manufacturing sites. Solutions need to fit together in the end-to-end business flow. Systems which are currently part of the systems landscape are: SAP ERP (Hana), DataLyzer SPC, Siemens Camstar, Oracle Agile PLM, and others. The Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst also works in close collaboration with the Cepheid IT and Manufacturing departments.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Camstar MES support point of contact and is responsible to provide or organize on time support and ticket resolution within the agreed SLA’s, specifically for the Sunnyvale site. Analyze and understand manufacturing business needs, and translate those needs into: Supporting business cases, Software requirements and specifications for Camstar, as well as process modeling in Camstar and DataLyzer. Creation of Operator, Supervisor and Engineering training programs, supporting changed shop floor programming in Camstar, or DataLyzer SPC. Analyze and understand business needs from an end-to-end perspective taking into account other MES and SAP ERP projects outside of Sunnyvale. Participates in Kaizens and other process improvement activities while aligning them with the Business Solutions Roadmap. Presents analysis and findings to management in a structured way, providing input into the Business Solutions Roadmap.QualificationMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education or Experience (in years): Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience OR Master's degree with 0-2 years experience 1 year of experience in manufacturing, process engineering or supply chain.Knowledge and skills: Microsoft Office and Windows Good communicator with associates of all levels of the company Apple iOS Able to work with cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements.Physicalrequirements/abilities: To be able to see manufacturing processes up close; ability to be on the shop floor and in cleanrooms.Other: Travel (10%) Remote factory support outside of office hours. Works well under pressure and ambiguity. Is accurate, detailed, and is also able to see the big picture. Quick learner, self-starter, able to drive projects with minimal direction.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (optional): Manufacturing Execution System Basic knowledge of SAP ERP (Materials Management). Camstar Medical Suite Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) PSP practitioner (Danaher Problem Solving Process) Experience with GMP, FDA regulations and computer system validation.
