Job DescriptionJob SummaryJoin Corewell Health as a Patient Safety and Reliability Specialist where you will play a critical role in building a safer, more reliable care environment. This position offers the opportunity to lead meaningful improvements that directly impact patient safety, efficiency and quality. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across both clinical and non-clinical areas to identify potential risks, analyze data, and develop sustainable improvements that enhance our processes and prevent harm. Your work will take you to the heart of our hospitals, where you’ll round with team members, from frontline staff to leadership, to understand their needs, celebrate successes and identify proactive solutions. As an essential partner in the Eagle Eye program you will ensure recognition of outstanding efforts and the continued successes of safety initiatives. Supports and drives improvement activities for accountable areas based on organizational priorities (project management, measurable deliverables, milestones, and data informed strategy).

Serves as a liaison between various departments across the Corewell Health System. Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a change agent to key stakeholders. Also ensures continuity and coordination of services with appropriate utilization of resources. Responsible for stakeholder management across collaboration within dept and organizational resources.

Drives continuous assessment and improvements using appropriate tools and methodology within the business, assists stakeholders and process owners in prioritizing improvement opportunities.

Partners with teams in driving improvement and change using the drivers of reliability.

Provides local level coaching and mentoring teams on the use of High Reliability Universal Skills.

Utilizes High Reliability Cause Solving Principles to find and fix system issues.

Reinforces the use of high reliability leadership methods.

Uses safety data to improve outcomes and drive down patient harm.

QualificationsRequired

Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Business, or related field

2 years of relevant experience in Quality, Safety, Process Improvement

CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - Just Culture Training within 1 year of hire

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Healthcare, Business, or related

1 year of proven experience in participation on improvement initiatives
