Position Summary: The Director, Enterprise Communications, Transparency & Accountability has oversight for communications and programming designed to elevate our fundamental commitment to transparency and accountability. This work will be accomplished primarily through partnerships, programs and initiatives driven through law department and compliance efforts, and enterprise initiatives and storytelling that support the narrative. This role will develop communications programming to strengthen trust in Johnson & Johnson. Responsibilities: Works directly with Global Leader, Legal Communications to develop and execute strategic communication plans designed to strengthen corporate reputation, build thought leadership, and drive awareness of key Enterprise communications platforms.

Supports enterprise-wide storytelling around transparency and accountability in support of a content pillar centered on “living our values”.

Supports high-level executives and thought leaders as needed for platform programming execution and oversees Enterprise awards & recognition.

Manages longstanding Enterprise partner relationships to identify and maximize ongoing thought leadership opportunities.

Collaborates with colleagues across Global Corporate Affairs, Business Sectors, Supply Chain, Investor Relations, Government Affairs & Policy and other functions to identify new external opportunities, storytelling, and reputation-enhancing activities and connect them to the broader cohesive Enterprise narrative around transparency and accountability; proactively works “outside the silo”.

Models and inspires integration of knowledge from internal and external networks; multi-stakeholder insights; and a broad understanding of the business, competitive and industry priorities to drive business and reputation outcomes.

Shapes team approach to identifying and applying key outcomes metrics to communication practices, and provide insights that drive confidence, integration and alignment.

Maintains deep understanding of current issues in the global environment affecting the Enterprise and sectors.

Models and inspires a continuous improvement mindset to stay on the leading edge of communications, change management, social and other key trends.

QualificationsB.A. / B.S. is required

A minimum of 10 years of proven success in relevant and progressive Communications experience is required

Candidate must possess expert judgment, as well as the ability to analyze issues and opportunities, and communicate their overarching impact.

The ability to understand target audiences and translate complex concepts into clear and concise messages is required.

Exceptional writing and editing skills are required.

Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to build deep, authentic, successful relationships with leaders and strong influence with senior internal and external stakeholders is required.

The ability to build support and engagement from a wide range of colleagues, and drive toward successful outcomes, often without authority is required for this role.

The ability to think beyond the “tried and true” to devise innovative ways to communicate, while aligning with goals and objectives is required.

Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, technology, finance, etc.) is preferred.

Experience in overseeing social media and digital marketing is preferred.

Change management experience is also preferred.
