Job SummaryLangan is seeking a Human Resources Intern or Co-op to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in providing support to the local Human Resources team, assisting with employee onboarding and HR data management. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner closely with HR leadership and gain valuable insight into Human Resources department functions. Job Responsibilities

Support the Human Resources department through daily tasks and special projects;

Assist in orientation preparation and onboarding experience for new hires including communicating with new hires and compiling and distributing welcome packages;

Ensure electronic files are up-to-date and maintained; converting paper documents to electronic files;

Collaborate with Corporate Human Resources Coordinator to submit and track department expenses;

Assist with the maintenance of the department’s SharePoint site;

Provide general administrative duties including filing, typing, scanning, photocopying, reviewing, and composing mail, shredding and ordering supplies;

Act as backup to the Corporate Human Resources Coordinators; and

Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Actively pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or coursework relating to HR;

Prior work experience in an office environment;

High caliber of self-motivation;

Superior interpersonal skills and positive demeanor;

Strong verbal and written communication skills;

Ability to work independently, remain flexible and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment;

Strong attention to detail;

Sound judgment capability; and

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
