Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling various functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Journal Entries, and General Ledger. This role also involves supporting with month-end close activities. The role follows a light hybrid schedule with 1-2 days onsite a week.Responsibilities: Accurately process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate Assist in month-end close procedures and ensure timely completion Utilize financial software such as NetSuite and Oracle for various accounting operations Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding credit applications Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Maintain accurate customer credit records and ensure compliance with financial regulations Requirements Possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential Proficient in handling General Ledger tasks Ability to make and manage Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures is a must Knowledge of NetSuite is essential for this role Proficiency in Oracle is required Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Relevant certification such as CPA would be advantageous Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
