Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill an interim Senior Cost Accountant position. This contract position will act as the subject matter expert on all costing inquiries and analysis.Your responsibilities in this role
Develop new cost accounting methods and procedures and manage the implementation
Answer to costing queries and prepare explanations and analysis
Assemble and analyze cost reports and costing audits
Perform analysis of standard versus actual costs to identify variances
Investigate costs that seem contrary to experience after analyzing cost records and calculation of unit cost for products or services related to a specific job or project
Ensure all assigned processes, procedures and workflows are completed within corporate guidelines and compliant with internal and external requirements Requirements - Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in a costing capacity in a manufacturing setting
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact effectively and clearly in a fast-changing environment
Strong MS Excel skills required, including data analysis and modeling capabilities
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
