You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Your responsibilities
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Requirements
Recent graduate or less than 2 years of experienced candidates encouraged to apply
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Strong attention to detail
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Account reconciliation experience
Comprehensive knowledge of journal entries
Knowledge of general ledger
