In this role, one will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of employment selection assessments including (but not limited to) high volume pre-hire assessments for non-exempt roles, coding assessments for data scientists, language proficiency exams, case studies for mid-level professionals and skills assessments. The Senior Manager of Assessments is a data-oriented individual with a high attention to detail, experience in test design, psychometrics, and the measurement of the knowledge, skills and attributes required to be successful in a role. The individual in this role has an expert understanding of test development and validation and will hold conversations with stakeholders at all organizational levels (e.g., first level people leaders through the Executive Leadership Team).This Senior Manager also has deep knowledge of the ethical and legal considerations for assessments/surveys, the science behind them, industry best practices and the predictive value of various solutions. At times, this role may support the execution of our engagement survey and listening program. This role will be classified as hybrid and will be filled in either Hartford CT, Woonsocket, RI or Irving, TX. Additional office locations may be consideredPrimary responsibilities:
Translate requests for employment tests into methodologically sound assessments aligned with the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures. Facilitate the development and implementation of an assessment; transform results into engaging presentations.
Provide specialized consulting and training to HR partners and business leaders on assessment best practices, turnover analyses, outcome studies, testing processes, and the ethical/legal considerations for using assessments.
Partner with vendors to ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables and partner with procurement to oversee RFPs-developing specifications and evaluating vendor capabilities.
Review and assess the performance of existing selection tools ensuring that they continue to be job-related and appropriate for their intended use.
Manipulate large volumes of data (upwards of 250,000 records) from different sources using Excel; summarize key trends, troubleshoot if necessary, and provide reporting to key stakeholders.
Work closely with other teams (e.g., Talent Acquisition, HR Technology, Legal, HRBPs, etc.) to champion Talent Strategy imperatives at the Enterprise level.
Job Analysis tasks which include but are not limited to: creating/administering job analysis questionnaire, conducting focus groups, observing employees, interviewing subject matter experts or reviewing competency models.

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$79,200.00 - $174,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
