Workshop is currently recruiting an Events Manager. This is a full time position with a competitive hourly wage for most of the year, and scales back to part time during the slower summer months. In additiont to base hourly wages, there is also a commission for all event sales on and off site. There is a chance to work hours on site and remote, so this may be a hybrid position. Paid vacation, participation in our health care benefits, and matching 401K contributions are part of this positions compensation package.
The lion's share of the work is corresponding with incoming leads online, tracking them daily and integrating event reservations with our host team and reservation system. Ninety percent of event sales currently are on-premis events, mostly groups of 14 to 30, or larger parties for partial or full out's at Workshop and at our bar next door Truss & Twine.
While we have always offered catering and private chef services, we are particularly focused on growing these areas of our program, and are looking for a motivated and dynamic sales person to help us get more consistent levels of business.
This position is someone who has excellent customer service skills, and is a skilled communicator both in writing and in person. Attention to detail is critical as our menus are quite seasonal and we make consistent adjustments to the programs.

This position works under our General Manager, alongside a Floor Manager, and maintains open communications with our Chef de Cuisine and Chef/Owner.
While an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, it is not a requirement. It is required that you have at least three years experience in a comparable hospitality work environment.
