Description Company in Fort Worth has a 9 month contract for Senior Accountant. (Hybrid - Office and Remote)This is a 9 month contract position.Robert Half and one of its growing clients are seeking a qualified candidate in the High Tech - Pharm/Biotech industry to fill a Senior Accountant role. Senior Accountants with an aptitude for adaptability are encouraged to apply. Interested candidates should apply as soon as possible, as this Senior Accountant role is immediate. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Fort Worth, Texas area.Key responsibilitiesCreate analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Proficiency in month end closings
Expertise in Accrual Accounting
Solid understanding of general ledger
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
