I am in a wheelchair and looking for someone who can push me to and back from the Berkeley YMCA and assist me while I am at the Y. I am looking for one or more people to help me on Saturdays and one other day of the week. I live about a 12 minute walk to the Y and you must be strong enough to push the wheelchair. While I am at the Y, I first like to work out on the machines, which I can do on my own without assistance. After that, I like to go to the pool for water walking. I can get in the pool myself, but I need help moving my wheelchair around when I get in and out of the pool and hot tub. I am also able to get dressed/undressed by myself in the locker room. After that, we would walk back to my place and you would help me get back inside my house. I think the whole process would take between 2 and 3 hours each time. The pay would be $27 per hour.
