I am a woman in her mid-40s with a disability (wheelchair user) who is seeking reliable, efficient, and personable caretakers to assist me in my home with personal care, including dressing, grooming, house cleaning, and meal preparation. I am a very independent person and work full-time. Having assistance from my caretakers is essential to maintaining my independence.
No prior experience with attendant care necessary. On-the-job training is provided.
This is a very part-time job to supplement other employment/school/life responsibilities. ALL SHIFTS ARE ONE (1) HOUR. I do not necessarily expect one person to fill all available shifts. Some of my shifts have flexible start times to work with your schedule.
PLEASE NOTE: Those who have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 are strongly preferred, but not required. Regardless of vaccination status, you will be required to wear a mask at all times while working.
Private pay CASH $22.00 per hour.

There may also be some opportunities for domestic travel sometime in 2025.

Location: South Berkeley; near public transit; free street parking; secure off-street bike parking, quiet and friendly neighborhood.
Requirements
- Because of the personal nature of this work, women only
- Prompt, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, and patient
- Great sense of humor
- Ability to communicate and take verbal instructions in English
- Physically fit - will need assistance transferring to/from wheelchair
- Able to provide 2 references
- Willing to substitute other shifts on occasion
- Live in the East Bay (within a 15-20 minute commute to South Berkeley)
- Commitment of 6 mos. - 1 year minimum
