  • Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (Title 32), Position Description Number D2059000 and is part of the AR ARNG 77 AVN BDE, National Guard. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQURED Responsibilities (1) As the subject matter expert for logistics, develops, implements and evaluates the logistic goals and priorities for the organization. Advises the command in the area of logistics operations. Oversees and reviews unit level feeder reports. Analyzes and/or prepares the logistics and equipment readiness areas of the organizational readiness report. Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations relative to proposed Modified Table of Organization and Equipment/Table of Distribution and Allowances (MTOE/TDA) and/or force structure changes to determine the impact on equipment authorizations. Remains current on and ensures the implementation of policy statements, regulations and directives. Provides guidance and assistance to ensure command programs have been implemented and evaluates their effectiveness in subordinate elements. Plans for the establishment and operation of the Administrative and Logistics Operations Center (ALOC). Develops and implements tactical standard operating procedures for logistics. (2) Ensures compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other directed command inspection programs. Assists in the preparation for and executes additional command level inspections in the area of logistics and maintenance. Works in conjunction with the Property Book Officer (PBO) to advise the S-4 and commander of equpment on hand and equipment readiness issues. Directs the maintenance priority of support to unit equipment. Coordinates and ensures the completion of change of command inventories and applicable adjustment documents. Directs, reviews, and makes recommendations on investigations of incidents involving property loss or damage. Manages Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL), Cash Collections, and Statements of Charges for property loss or damage for the organization. (3) Provides guidance and management for all decentralized logistic funds. These may include secondary stock funds, office supply accounts, transportation funding, and various classes of supply. May serve as the approving official for government purchase card expenditures. (4) Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. May provide supervision to full time personnel in the S-4 section in the absence of the logistics officer. Directs the work of lower graded employees. (5) May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. Provides logistical support for community activities such as parades, celebrations, military funerals, etc. Coordinates with civic officials, club officers and school officials for such things as recruiting activities, communities support projects, natural disaster or civil disturbance planning, use of facilities for training for such things as recruiting for such things as recruiting and security of those facilities. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQURED Responsibilities Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, bulldozers, power shovels, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, all terrain vehicles, semi trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls, as a regular and recurring duty, a variety of the mechanically complex major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems. Makes repairs and modifications to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc., for use or placement in systems for which they were not specifically designed. Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower grade employees within the team. May serve as a commodity inspector during Command Maintenance Management evaluations (COMET) or as a member of a Maintenance Assistance Instruction Team (MAIT). Instructs operator/crew in the maintenance of equipment and provides technical advice and assistance to supported units when requested. Performs electrical repairs on complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems requiring extensive training on specialized diagnostic equipment to identify problems. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQURED Responsibilities (1) Responsible for oversight, administration, and implementation of policies pertaining to state medical affairs, and exercise of programs such as: Line Of Duty (LOD) Investigation Program, Incapacitation Pay Program, Active Duty Medical Extension (ADME) Program, MOS Medical Review Board (MMRB) Program, Medical Disqualification Program, Follow up Health Care Program, Medical Claims Processing Program, Medical Travel and Orders Program, Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), Physical Evaluation Board (PEB), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Screening Program, Immunization Program, routine and special physical examinations and waivers, Weight Control Program, and Over-40 Medical Screening Program. (6) Coordinates, assembles, monitors and ensures the proper conduct of the Incapacitation Pay Review Board and the MOS Military Review Board. As required, is a participant on review boards. (7) Reviews, evaluates, and interprets regulatory guidance, policies, and procedures applicable to the health services programs. Provides guidance to all users through the development of policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), electronic tracking systems, and dissemination of information related to the health services programs.
