  • JOB REQUIREMENTS Education High school graduate or equivalent with ability to make simple mathematics computations as required. Experience Knowledge of diesel engines and generators preferred. Familiar with fire pump and sprinkler systems and knowledge of fire extinguishers preferred. Two (2) years experience in general maintenance associated with hospital surroundings, working knowledge of boilers and related boiler room equipment preferred. Must have a current boiler operator’s license and/or eligible to become licensed as required by the state. Employee must be licensed to operator a boiler six (6) months after completion of entry level period. Within six (6) months of entry level period, must be capable of performing preventative maintenance on emergency generator systems, fire extinguishers and other related equipment. JOB SUMMARY Primarily responsible for preventative maintenance and general repairs of emergency generator systems, fire pump and sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, and other related equipment. Also, responsible for maintaining buildings and related equipment in good repair, making appropriate inspections, installations, and repairs. Familiar with firing and operation of high pressure steam boilers and related equipment. Ability to work under difficult situations and emergency conditions with minimal supervision with experience. Will precept new employees to all preventative maintenance phases associated within the Engineering Department, hospital lay-out, weekend duties, etc.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent. Ability to perform support activities in patient care acquired through either: 1) licensed as a CNA through the Office of Long Term Care (current or previous), 2) completion of a state approved CNA training program 3) completion of a minimum of one semester of an RN/LPN program with a nursing skills checklist completed by the nursing instructor (for those currently enrolled in an approved nursing program) or 4) one year of PCT experience within an acute care setting. Experience Knowledge of patient care technician practices and related patient care activities and hospital policies and procedures as acquired through on-the-job training.
