JOB REQUIREMENTS Education One year of phlebotomy preferred. More technical aspects require sufficient combination of education and experience to perform. Fulfills Federal Register section 493.1495 personnel requirements. Experience On-the-job training under direct supervision of qualified technicians, technologists, or peer trainers with certification by successful completion of training checklist. The more technical aspects are underlined and require the demonstrated ability to perform as a phlebotomy laboratory assistant in a clinical laboratory. There is a minimum of two years experience for technical aspects and on-the-job training under direct supervision of the technical specialist and/or shift coordinator. Exposure to biological hazards via venous punctures. Close eye work. Color perception. Hearing within normal range. Oral communication with patients. JOB SUMMARY Performs capillary and venous punctures, care of the puncture site, obtains specimens from arterial lines and clerical functions. May plate microbiology specimens.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Must be licensed in the State of Arkansas as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. CPR certified. Experience Prefer one year of Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant experience. Sound clinical skills and demonstrated good judgment. Ability to problem-solve and plan effectively.
