Controls Engineer, Vance, AL, Brose North America. Plan, design, and develop assembly stations such as screw stations, cable winding/assembly machines for window regulators, riveting machines and testing machines used on manufacturing lines for seat systems, window regulators, door modules, and Cooling Fan Modules (CFMs) at Brose Tuscaloosa Plant, high volume mechatronics manufacturing plant. Design, program, implement, improve and troubleshoot automated plant control systems including Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (S7-300, S7-1200, S7-1500 series) with Step 7 Classic and TIA Portal programming tools, Siemens Human Machine Interface (HMI) modules (using WinCC Flexible, ProTool and TIA Portal), Siemens Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, using C, C# and Visual Basic programming languages, MS SQL Server and Oracle Database, for operators to interact with PLC-based production machinery. Analyze and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs to improve machine Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and production line issues. Design, program, implement, and troubleshoot robotics and robotic cells; vision and scanning systems; servo systems; and communication networks including PROFINET, PROFIBUS and DeviceNet. Twenty-four months experience as Engineer, Analyst, Programmer, or related, designing and programing automated plant control systems including Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interface (HMI) modules, using C, C# and Visual Basic (VB), for operators to interact with PLC-based production machinery, or related.
