  • Summary The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located within the Office of Digital Collections within the department of Digital Access & Archives, National Museum of American History (NMAH) at the Smithsonian Institution (SI). Responsibilities The primary purpose of the position is to advance the museum’s objectives for collections care and public access, through the strategic management of data for an estimated 1.8 million objects and 21,000 square feet of archival material. In this position you will: Provide general direction for the museum’s program of documenting, classifying, and describing its collection, in collaboration with the Head of Digital Collections. Design and implement cataloging procedures, in close collaboration with museum staff and stakeholders. Identify priority projects for targeted data enhancement, transformation, or remediation, in consultation with other staff and stakeholders. Oversee configuration, maintenance, and use of the collections information system (CIS) for museum objects and identify opportunities to apply technologies to enrich and extend the utility of collections information and improve workflow efficiencies. Plan and carry out the full range of supervisory and managerial authorities, including assigning work, coordinating with other program areas, directing technical work, setting standards, resolving minor complaints, and initiating disciplinary actions. Supervises staff and contractors, as well as motivates others through influence and collaboration. A member of the Clerk\'s Office senior management team, the Special Counsel interacts frequently with judges and chambers\' personnel. A judicial clerkship, law review membership, or comparable legal research and writing experience is helpful. Other desirable qualifications include litigation experience and graduation in the top 25% of your law school class.   • Summary This position serves as the Voice of America (VOA) Programming Director within the U.S. Agency for Global Media with responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating VOA Studio and Production Operations, the VOA News Center and VOA programming activities on digital, radio, television, web and for overall management and effective use of all human and financial resources employed in VOA\'s regional language service divisions. Responsibilities As Programming Director, you will be responsible for duties to include, but are not limited to: 1. Serves as the lead director of news and content for Voice of America, acting in accordance with direction from the VOA Director. Responsibilities As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Information Security), you will be responsible for duties to include, but are not limited to: Serves as senior member of core Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) to address security incidents, investigations, and resolution. Serves as a member of the IT Security Operations Center (SOC) to lead or assist in \"search and destroy\" tasks, event and alert configuration and monitoring, and reporting on operations and findings. Installs, maintains, and administrates security tools in an enterprise with cloud-based and on-premises systems. Conducts and supports investigations. Analyzes events and alerts from agency systems and networks to identify suspicious activity for potential incidents.
